MCMS_IMG_2_3__100 Jörg Heinz

Founded as the “Atelier for Pearl Jewellery” in Pforzheim in 1968, the Jörg Heinz Manufacture currently numbers among the most modern and most innovative of its kind in Europe.

The contemporary jewellery clasps, which the firm’s founder Jörg Heinz invented and developed  in 1974, are the basis for this family business’s global renown and its more than four decades of success.

Products by Jörg Heinz are individualistic adornments of the highest quality. Today the focus of the business’s efforts has shifted from the function of the Jörg Heinz clasp to the design of various pieces and lines of jewellery. Jörg Heinz created the first variable jewellery system: its technical advantages are taken for granted today but its diverse designs are appreciated worldwide by people who love and wear jewellery.

FH875 Silver Francis Howard Bead Funnel £ 305.00Francis Howard

There are few Silverware manufactures in the world steeped in as much history and tradition as our own.

The company was formed on the 25th January 1870, after Francis Howard left his partnership in William Batt and Sons. Within a couple of years, due to huge demand for his items, he had outgrown the original factory and decided to build larger premises in the heart of Sheffield. In 1873 the firm moved into Aberdeen Works, and we have remained there ever since. The business has evolved immensely over the last five generations, creating a worldwide demand for its Silverware articles.

The company is still family owned, with Andrew Howard now looking after Britain’s oldest silversmiths. Andrew is committed to his trade, he believes in keeping traditional artisan skills, and has moved the company forward by continuing to invest in new technologies and innovations.

The business is proud of its skilled workforce, and its designers can also offer a bespoke service for those who wish for exclusively made products.

LW1 18ct Rose Gold Enamel & Diamond Clover Pendant £3350.00Leo Wittwer

Opulent jewellery which nonetheless looks elegant and understated – the designers at Leo Wittwer are masters of the art of employing precious stones and pearls to achieve precisely this effect. At the same time, this stalwart of Pforzheim’s manufacturing sector, has repeatedly proven itself to be at the forefront of fashion.

One of the maxims that guides the company’s endeavours, states: “Don’t follow trends – set them”. Motifs that characterize today’s trends have long been present in Leo Wittwers’ jewellery collections, and the firms’ latest ideas certainly seem to have what it takes to continue that success in the future. Take, for example, claw setting where the claws have been reduced to sleek, geometric forms so giving this traditional setting a modern, contemporary appearance. Different variations on this theme comprise the LW range of classical solitaires.
